2002 996 3.6L TiptronicSo I had read all of the reviews on Revo's tuning upgrades for Porsche so I knew that the results even on normally aspirateds cars was impressive, but I was skeptical of the improvement I'd get because my 996 has Tiptronic. 2003 996 Twin TurboI bought a pristine used and absolutely stock 996 Twin Turbo and took it to my shop to see about performance upgrades, particularly the popular big turbo upgrades like the X50 and GT2. They convinced me I should try the Revo chip upgrade first, then decide if I wanted more. You got to be kidding! I drove the car about a block after the 30 minutes to check out my car and install the Revo. I couldn't stop laughing! It is just nutty fast! Then they told me to drive it like I expect to so the car will adapt (they all do this they told me), and the performance and smoothness will be even better. 2007 997 GT3We just finished upgrading my 997 GT3 with Revo software. Now this car is already so fast I was a little unsure how much improvement I'd see, but the folks at Arlan Motorsport assured me it would be a substantial improvement based on their experience with the 996 GT3. We took it out down the road a few blocks and onto the freeway to open it up a little and then go find a nice big hill to climb to exercise the engine and speed up the adaptation, but already I could feel the real kick when the tach needle passed 5K to 7K there is some real juice now that just wasn't there before!
